Dorson Plourde is an artist and educator living and working in Maine.

His interests lie in obsessions, earnest efforts, masked manipulations, the bogus, the bamboozled, and the randomness of brambles.

Influenced by the philosophical questions posed in children’s picture books as well as the compulsion to stay present in an age routed in distraction, his work focuses on process and precision in an effort to unpack states of flux and uncertainty. An honest effort to ground a general sense of floating via minimal compositions achieved through maximalist means.
